We here at HCS trust everyone is having a great summer filled with family time, vacation, camping, gardening, and all the activities people enjoy when school is not in session. As we anticipate another school year starting soon, I would like to take a few moments to highlight some updates at HCS.
On the staffing side, Mrs. Shelley Cline is returning to teach all high school English classes. 2011 graduate, Miss Nikki Parks, will be teaching high school history, health, assisting in the K-4 class and coaching volleyball.
Rolling out soon is a new online grading system for teachers to input grades, and for parents to access grades at home or on a mobile device.
Some of the building improvements include fresh paint, new LED lighting in classrooms, and cleaning throughout the school by volunteers and our new custodian, Mrs. Darci Fox.
We praise God that enrollment is higher than last year, and continue to pray for new students and families to join HCS. We know that the cultural and moral landscape is changing rapidly, but the school board is determined to hold steadfast to Biblical teaching and principles. As always, if you have concerns, comments or inquiries, feel free to contact me at the office by phone (269-646-9367) or e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
