High School

Welcome to HCS High School

HCS had its first 7th grade class in 1982, with 8 students enrolled.  Since that time the Lord has continued to bless and currently our 6th - 12th consists of approximately 70 students.

Our goal is to work with the parents in helping them fulfill the counsel of Proverbs 22:6 - "Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it."  It is our desire to strengthen the home and maintain the highest academic standards.

Our desire is to see our students grow and mature spiritually, intellectually, socially.  Throughout each area we teach that our relationship with Jesus Christ is of the utmost importance and it is our first priority to bring Him glory in everything we do.  Some of our extra-curricular activities include student council, mission trips, Christian Ministries and athletics.  (Athletics include cross-country, golf, soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball and softball.)  We offer Varsity, JV and Junior High level sports teams.  We are a member of the Michigan High School Athletic Association and the BCS Athletic Conference.

As a Christian school a core value is time set aside for spiritual challenges and encouragement.  Weekly chapel services are held to create this environment.  Special speakers include local pastors, missionaries and evangelists.  The students have an opportunity to participate in special music during these meetings.

Howardsville Christian School requires 22 credit hours for graduation for the general track and 24 credit hours for the honors track.  Seniors who have maintained a GPA of 3.5 or higher during the four years of high school will graduate with honors.
