Secondary Education
Howardsville Christian School welcomed its first seventh-grade class in 1982 with eight students. Since then, the Lord has continued to bless and grow HCS.
Our goal is to partner with parents in fulfilling the counsel of Proverbs 22:6: “Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” We seek to strengthen the home while maintaining high academic standards and providing a Christ-centered education.
We desire to see students grow spiritually, intellectually, and socially, while learning that their relationship with Jesus Christ is their highest priority and that everything they do should bring Him glory.
Students have opportunities to participate in a variety of extracurricular activities, including student council, mission trips, Christian ministries, and athletics.
Spiritual Growth
As a Christian school, we value dedicated time for spiritual growth, challenge, and encouragement. Weekly chapel services provide opportunities for students to hear from local pastors, missionaries, and evangelists and to participate through special music.
Graduation Requirements
Howardsville Christian School requires 22 credits for graduation on the general track and 24 credits on the honors track. Seniors who maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher throughout their four years of high school graduate with honors.
